East Side Gallery :

The 1300 metre (1420 yard) long East Side Gallery in the Mühlenstrasse is the largest section of the Wall to have been preserved and the the world’s biggest open air gallery, the brainchild of Scottish gallery-owner Chris McLean. On the Eastern side, the Wall was white and grey. There was a fence to prevent anyone coming near or touching it. At the time of the collapse of East Germany, 118 artists from 21 countries had begun to paint a huge fresco which has been treated as a historic monument since November 1991.

Museum of banned art (Puschkinallee) :

This museum was a private initiative, and is set in one of the last surviving control towers on the boundary between the boroughs of Treptow and Kreuzberg. It holds temporary exhibitions, and also presents items and documents on the border system between the two Berlins.
